To have good content, high ranking and traffic is of outmost importance. In this post I will tell you a little more about increasing search engine ranking, but traffic also.

These are my tips for today:

-In first place you have to have valuable content

-Think about your keywords for the article and then at the beginning place your keywords and then spread them evenly through the content

-Do a research on keywords or phrases and then use the right ones to attract the right reader

-For bloggers there is an essential plugin I use called All in one SEO. With this plugin you can do your SEO customization for homepage, but also for every post you wrote. This is highly recommended

-Have your blog or site design simple and user friendly in order to offer your readers and potential customer easy navigation through your page

-Submit your blogs or web pages to search and directory services. If you don’t have time or you’re too lazy, then hire someone to do it for you. It is recommended to do this manually, not using automated submission services.

-Do a research on your competitors who are ranked high and observe what are they doing with their content, design, navigation, keywords, etc.

-Track your visitors to see more information about your users and their habits in order to improve. There are lots of tracking tools like Google Analytics, eXTReMe Tracker or Site Meter.

-Make sure to offer your visitors as much ways to subscribe so they could visit you again -Write articles for free articles directories like, in this way you get lots of links linking to your blogs which is extremely important for your ranking, this way you are building reputation in field covered with your topic.

-Use social bookmarking and networking because they provide lots of link love and could make your blog popular very fast. With social bookmarking and networking you get indexed by search engines right away.

Search engines are very important for delivering you new readers or customer for your service. When someone searches for a certain topic through search engines, almost instantly, search engine will look through millions of indexed pages and post and then deliver you ones that match with your searched topic. The searched results are ranked, with the most important and relevant comes at the top of the pile.

You have to have in mind that most average surfers aka potential customer, look at the first few listings in the search results. So having your site at top of the search results is very important.s

Moreover, all these “average Joes” use one of the top search engines and that is the reason why these search engines bring so many traffic. According to Seoconsultants and Hitwise top engines in 2007 are

• Google with 65.98% share of U.S. based web searches
• Yahoo with a market share of 20.88 %
• MSN with a share of 7.04%
• Ask with a share of 4.14%

So with these figures, we come to the conclusion that they form 98.04 % of search engine market and these are the ones we all nedd to focus on. So for more traffic it depends on which engines will the „Average Joe“ use and how well ranked will your site be.

In my opinion, keywords are very important part of this proccess of getting high in search engines and bringing you money.

When an average potential customer need to find a site either to look for more information or to simply buy a product, they find it in following ways:

• They find wanted site by search engines
• They find wanted site by clicking on a link from another site or blog related to ones they want
• Or sometimes they find wanted site by word of mouth

So the most popular and used way to find wanted site is by search engine, it represents most of the online users and only a few people will use other methods to find what are they looking for.

Search engines work on ranking algorithm and one of the main things in ranking algorithm is to for location and frequency of keywords on a site. Algorithm also give attention to link population, that means how many other sites are linking to your site. Using search engine optimization really pays off, so you should really consider hiring someone to do your optimization.

But in my opinion, you can do this on your own with a little research on search engines for gettting the knowledge and then apply it.

Nowdays everyone can make a blog or site with resources available to almost everyone, but not everyone can make money from them too. Everyone think I just need to setup a blog and the money will come. Sorry for breaking your illusiones but that is just not enough.
So where is the problem? Aha! The core of every internet bussiness is TRAFFIC!!! Every piece of articles or tips about making your “web masterpiece” will tell you how important it is to have traffic.
If you have by now already set up a site, then go right now and start using the methods I listed in this article and remember “Time is money” so don’t postpone something for tommorrow you can do today.
These are the absolute methods to boost your traffic to the sky.

1) Do a paid advertising with some search engines Ad centers

Google’s AdWords and Yahoo’s schemes offer great value for the given service and are really popular ways of getting traffic. For example, these ads appear whenever someone searches for something relating to your site or product you are selling, at the right of the search results.
This method will cost you money, but it will worth every penny because many companies makes success with this kind of getting traffic.

2) Do a link exchange with others

When you do a link exchange both of you will get more traffic because both of you are generating more traffic for each other. This is called passive method because all you have to do is put link to other site and watch your visitors coming. The best thing is to find sites related with yours and ask them to do link exchange. You can do wonders with this method if the other site is well visited, so you get lots of fresh new targeted visitors and SEO benfits.

3) Do Viral Marketing

Viral marketing makes you to spend zero money or with really low cost for spreading the news about your company and/or products. With viral marketing you can put your company’s name, link, product or blog to a media like video on vidio sharing sites like You Tube or Metacafe, on some article or buzz. If you use it properly, other people will spreading it over the net and only the sky is the limit, of course if the idea is enough creative. 4) Do a search on keywords and keywords phrases relating to your product and then use them on your site with content

Sites gets spidered and indexed by search engines in order to appear in search results. So if you use proper keywords you will rank high in search engine results. If you think you can’t do it yourself maybe you should hire a writer and have him do it for you. You can find them on Rent a Ghost Writer or Rent a Writer.

5) Make traffic by NOT writing for Yourself

Yes that’s right. You can make traffic even if you don’t write for yourself. You can write a post on other blogs as a guestblogger and with good writing skills try to capture some of the audience. You can also write articles and publish them on free articles directories, just write an article relating to which you are promoting and include the description and a link to your site.

6) Join online communities and forums

This is easy and good for you, not only for your bussiness. With this method you socialize and interact with people and at least you are not bored. Just join some community and post, then when you become established member other members will trust you and your site and they will tell others and the vicious circle never ends. Be sure to put a link back to your site in signature because it will boost your traffic and SEO rankings as well.

7) And the last but not the least is offer newsletters.

Newsletters are pretty important and lucrative method for bringing traffic. Offer your visitors to opt in and you can send them occasionaly special offers or useful informations. You can find great solution at Aweber.

Ok this is enough for today, this is just a fraction of methods you can use to bring traffic. There are almost unlimited ways for getting traffic.

First let’s get to know something about favicon. Favicon is short for favorites icon, also know as web site, a page icon or urlicon and it is located in front of the address in the address bar. You can also see it on tabs in your browser and in your favorites or bookmarks. For example this is how my address should look like in most browser

Why is good to have your own special favicon. That’s easy, it gives your blog something special and unique so you can stand out from the crowd. Lots of people have many bookmarks in their bookmarks folder or favorites in favorites folder so this is right stuff for you. Why? Because in the crowded favorites folder is where your favicon comes in. If you have some nice favicon you can stand out from the crowd and it will give you more traffic.

In first step you need to create your favicon in any editor like paint, Photoshop or similar. Just make 16×16 or 32×32 on and save it as favicon.ico or even better go to this favicon maker where you can make your favicon from every picture you want. There you can even make an animated favicon like mine and you can even put text to scroll with your favicon.

OK, I assume you finished the first step so let’s go to the second one. Now upload it to on your server into the root directory of your site. Now you just need to add the following HTML code inside <head> … </head> section of your web page. The code is

and that’s it.

If you want, you can play a little more with it. If you want your favicon to be animated like mine, just upload your gif formatted icon and put this code

this is the way if you made animated icon with favicon maker from the link earlier in the text, you can also write instead of animated_favicon1.gif the name of your icon but don’t forget to put .gif behind the name.

If you want you can also check your favicon to make sure you made it right. Go check it with favicon validator.

And the third and final step is to go to your website and enjoy your masterpiece.

For all of you who have your own domain, this is the right stuff for you. Are you tired of managing your mail through cpanel and similar applications. I don’t know about you, but for me this process is not easy or user friendly at all. In my case I have to log in to my account and then I have the option to choose to read mail between Horde and Squirrel mail. With your domain you can use many applications like Gmail, Google Talk, Google Calendar, Start Page, Google Docs and Page Creator, and all of these are part of Google Aps. Google Aps are ideal for family and groups, small businesses or large enterprises.

You can choose between Standard Edition and Premium Edition. Of course Premium Edition is better because it offers more options and features. I am using the free version for now, because for my needs this is enough. Maybe one day I take the Premium Edition when my blog get’s bigger and maybe my network. But for larger organizations I recommend Premium.

I have been working on my blog a little, mostly on visual part. I am searching for new and interesting plugins and widgets to put on my blog, which took me a lot of time. I am still new to wordpress so all this is very exciting and interesting for me. I will write later what did I do and where did I find all this stuff for my blog.

But let’s get back to the basic topic of this blog, making money online.

Since this blog is still a work in progress there isn’t much possibilities to monetize your blog. Later with your help and support my dear readers when this blog get’s so much needed treffic I will use other and more lucrative options to make money.

I have chosen my first moneymaker to be famous Google Adsense which you can already see here in the post. For those who are not familiar with this advertising network here is a little explanation.

Google Adsense is an ad program that let’s you make money when someone clicks on ad that it’s on your web site or blog, these ads can be text, image and more recently video format ads. These type of ads are based on per-click basis. You can also use type that is based on per-thousand-impressions but in order to use this type of monetization you have have a blog or web site with very high traffic.

This is basic explanation of Google Adsense so anyone can understand, but i will soon write more about this service and how to customize it. This is in my opinion the best thing to start with because it is very easy and intuitive for managing.

I have been a part of the internet world for a while, and I discovered many interesting things, sites and places on the web. I saw many different web site solutions, small and complex sites, this was all very interesting until I met Blog. When I first met Blog I fell immediately in love. OK I’m only kidding, I didn’t really fell in love, I’m not that weird. But when i first came across with blogs on the internet it interested me a lot.

I find blogging very interesting way of communicating with the world, sharing your opinion and experiences with the world. It doesn’t require much knowledge as a web developer because there are many tools and tutorials, forums and other stuff on the internet that can help you and will turn you from netbegginer into netgeek in no time.

Soon I became a blogger and started my first blog project about my favorite team Arsenal from London. It is a little blog hosted by bloger.hr in Croatia, so the language is also Croatian. I started it because I wanted to show the whole world why is Arsenal the best team in the world. You can visit my blog crogooners.

OK, enough of that, let’s get back to business. I imagine this blog mainly to be a place where you can find how to make money online. I will write about everything I find on the internet that can make money online. This will be my main topic on this blog, but I will also write about other interesting stuff which I will find on the internet and share it with you. Of course as a fan of Arsenal I’ll make a special section relating to fans of Arsenal and everyone that will become an Arsenal fan because of my influence.

I won’t reveal all of my plans with this blog at once in order to make it more interesting and exciting. But you can expect a lot more so come back and see my blog growing.
